[Bf-committers] Value Node - Random

Hi,

Thanks, and welcome!

My quick take on this topic: for the compositor we need a good set of
basic nodes to default include in releases. Each node should be well
designed, with useful specs for end-users.

A random node therefore could use some more elaborate functionality,
like;
- seed
- optional fixed seed per frame
- periodicity (and other random types)

But even then, you can already get random noise with the texture node,
which is a bit more work to setup, but nevertheless... a new Noise node
in the compositor should at least give better results, with more
control.

What also should be really done is getting a plugin system work for the
compositor, that way adding this kind of nodes doesn't have to be a
topic for discussion anymore. :)
