[Bf-committers] 2.44a or not?

Hi,

There seems to be issues still... I propose to not do big commits or  
new features now, but check on the tracker! For the last time, then we  
can go back developing!

Especially reasons for an 'a' release would be features that worked in  
2.43 and before, but not in 2.44. For example:

-> "Play" (anim playback window) in Windows is broken because of FFMPG

Let's collect an overview of such crucial fixes?
Next sunday final verdict on this topic!
