I downloaded the Py2.5 versions and both are being built with static
libpython2.5.a. It's giving errors on Ubuntu Feisty:
Compiled with Python version 2.5.1.
Could not find platform independent libraries <prefix>
Could not find platform dependent libraries <exec_prefix>
Consider setting $PYTHONHOME to <prefix>[:<exec_prefix>]
'import site' failed; use -v for traceback
Checking for installed Python... No installed Python found.
Only built-in modules are available. Some scripts may not run.
Continuing happily.
