I tend to agree here. Of course ideally, if the person reporting has  
some knowledge of programming/C it would be decent of them to hunt it  
down and mention what the problem is or post a patch. If you know  
what you're doing, it doesn't take much longer than the time taken to  
copy and paste a long console log, to go and find these little  
errors. Some people don't know enough to do that though, and in that  
case, a heads-up is still useful.

Different compilers pick up different things. In the past I've made  
silly mistakes and committed code that compiled and ran fine in GCC,  
but wasn't valid (declarations mixed in code etc) and that MSVC did  
have an error with. In these cases, MSVC was correct, and I  
appreciated someone telling me so I could go in and fix it and not  
leave CVS in a broken state for too long.
