Moving... do people realize Blender files (many? all? 'grep -rI "of
the License, or (at your option) any later version. The Blender"
source/* | wc -l' returns around 2400) have the following two lines:

 * as published by the Free Software Foundation; either version 2
 * of the License, or (at your option) any later version. The Blender

v3 is being allowed already, so any discussion would be about changes
like dropping v2 or disallowing later versions. There is nothing to
ask about v3, it is explicitly stated that it can be redistributed
under it (or the maybe never to be released v4, v5...), be it for
compatibility issues or just cos a distributor wants to go with v3.
