The keyword 'reversed' is a Py 2.4 feature, so based on 
>  Mac OS, Python 2.3, etc
I would say no.

However, we are seeing some strange behavior in bug #5846 that seems
related to Joseph's commit. Rolling back cvs to 25-jan before this
commit seems to make it go away.
