Khughes, nice fix on the file extension naming issue.

Martin: From a semantic point of view there needs to be settings for 
both types of renderings:
Still Imageand Animation separately.  Put each in its own tab with its 
Own render/Anim button.

Better yet, let users change what format they are saving in the save 
dialogue for still images.  How often do you get to the save dialogue 
and haven't selected the right format (you obviously do it with movie 
formats selected)?   it would be interesting to find out how others find it.
