Well, valgrind does dynamic analysis, while this seems to be static
source code analysis, am I correct? If so, they are quite different
tools and I believe that python stuff shouldn't get too much in the
way.

In any case, static source code analysis is something we should
investigate as much as possible. Here is a list of tools, many of
