Agree that the current scaling is good.
Once problem i have is that the mouse hits the edge of the screen and 
stops scaling. - or go's outside the blender window and I end up opening 
another window instead of executing the scale.

In this case Id prefer that blender wraps the cursor so you can drag as 
far as you want. (As MAX does it)
