Subversion (was Re: [Bf-committers] Help request build systems for Bullet 2.x upgrade)

Is it possible to install Subversion (SVN) on the projects.blender.org 
machine?
As far as I can see gforge is just some piece of software, and so is SVN.

gforge is what you see running at http://projects.blender.org/. For the
upstream projects, see http://gforge.org/.

My experiences with sourceforge haven't been very good, IF (and that is
a pretty big if) we switch away from doing the hosting ourselves, it
would be a good idea to pick something better than sourceforge.
