Yes it does make sense to remove them, the ones i tested were infact
un-usable since the functions weren't available, i.e. UV unwrap (why is
it needed when you don't know what faces you have selected, or Rotate
texture co-ords...)

what "should" happen IMO is all keys should be deleted, meaning as the
tool expands and grows over the years with functions like.

Vertex groups
Preset brushes/saved brushes
MRM selections and tools.
Detail patches (possibly with vertex groups...)
Texture Displacement preview....
...
All sorts of tools could get added over time, they should then have a
hotkey available to go to. look at the sequencer for precedent, most
hotkeys don't have any function at all.

start with a clean slate, its a new feature with a heck of a lot of
potential, lets get the hotkeys perfect for the first release, i think
they are the most important thing.

also B select is not needed, infact i think the right mouse button to
select other objects is not needed, but that is debatable. i think the
key could be used much better as a fast access menu for brushes (like
photoshop) or something which will bring consistency to users across
software, the space bar is also another menu-set which i don't know if
its needed (or at least most of its functions are not needed) spacebar
has been used by the sequencer and other areas for different "context
sensitive" menus, so i don't see why it can't for the sculpt mode also.
