Hello,

I finally got Blender compile with ffmpeg on my debian Linux. It works
well (.mov and mpeg2 dvd etc.) but not if I choose xvid, not inside AVI
nor alone.

I get an "Error initialize video stream" and on the shell:

Starting output to /tmp/a0001_0250.avi(ffmpeg)...
   Using type=7, codec=63, audio_codec=86016,
   video_bitrate=6000, audio_bitrate=128,
   gop_size=15, multiplex=0, autosplit=0
   render width=720, render height=576
Closing ffmpeg...

I use this:

Manta:/usr/src/ipw3945-1.0.12# dpkg -l libxvidcore4*
Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold
| Status=Not/Installed/Config-files/Unpacked/Failed-config/Half-installed
|/ Err?=(none)/Hold/Reinst-required/X=both-problems (Status,Err:
uppercase=bad)
||/ Name           Version        Description
+++-==============-==============-============================================
ii libxvidcore4 1.1.2-0.1 High quality ISO MPEG4 codec library
ii libxvidcore4-d 1.1.2-0.1 High quality ISO MPEG4 codec library
-- deve
Manta:/usr/src/ipw3945-1.0.12#

What can be wrong here?

Best regards,
Carsten.
