Please keep in mind while evaluating that I do not propose it as a
finished system yet. There is some outstanding issues to clear up. As
I said in a previous post I would be more than willing to continue
towards a polished system for all platforms/variations, I just want to
make sure that I have "buy-in" from the blender devs. Also it is
probably time for a Wiki page, so I'll see if I can get that started
for Sunday too.

Sure, I will be there. The Sunday meetings are not entirely at a
convenient time for me, but I will try to attend in the future as time
permits.
