I get the pictures from the Blender UV Editor:
Render result, Render result.001, Render result.002...

Everyone is the same, no matter what you change in the scene.

P.D: If you want, we can continue in the blenderartists.org thread, this way
don't disturb this list ;)

Where are you getting those pictures ?
I'll try to take time to do an html page with a small tutorial with
screenshots, may be more explicit. If you are doing this well and the
rendered image is still the same, then it's a bug I should fix :)
