[Bf-committers] Error compiling under win32 with GCC (maybe Cygwin's/MinGW's shell32 lib lacks SHGetSpecialFolderPath???)

Hi, took a bit of working out to get blender to compile with Mingw
This doc on the bottom of the scons refactoring page tries to take the 
guesswork out and also make it possible for newer user to have a free 
dev environment-

GCC 4.1 also compiles with MSYS with only 1 minor change to a makefile. 
Would be interested to benchmark gcc 4.1 with one of the MS compilers ;)
