Just for fun I tested the latest Blender 2.43 RC1 build on Yellowdog Linux 
5.0 on a Playstation 3 (consumer unit), and it runs better then I expected. 

On a 1080p television with HDMI cable Blender looks very crispy and modeling 
is very doable. Running small games works fine too, so prototyping works. 
Obviously due to current lack of OpenGL hardware acceleration it won't run 
games very fast (wireframe reaches 20FPS for the FPS template in the latest 
2.43 physics demos)
