[Bf-committers] Blender 2.43 RC1

Hi all,

It was in the original plans to get a first (beta) RC out around  
christmas. Seems like the holidays are really used for holidays  
nowadays. :)

Nevertheless, could the platform managers tell when they're available?

Windows: Simon, Andrea
Linux intel: DJ
Linux PPC: Stefan
OSX: Jean Luc, Ed H.
Solaris: Kent
FreeBSD: Hans

We also could use backup compilers for official builds, like for Linux.  
Anyone?
(Would be nice if someone who already does a lot of informal testing  
builds joins our team)
