Hehe yea. Every time we talk about python refactoring this comes up and
we resolve to rename everything lol. The directory is still api2_2x even
though we're now using python 2.3/2.4 :)

It's a little strange, that after all this time python functions still 
prefix with EXPP.  I mean, as I understood it, EXPP meant "EXPerimental 
Python."  And, it's not exactly experimental anymore :)
