[Bf-committers] problems with C++

I compile in 40 minutes on my machine using gcc 3.3: make clean &&
make all. I don't have any memory spikes to speak of. Is this machine
related or code related?

my specs are:
ubuntu 5.04
amd athlon 1.6
1 gig of ram
