[Bf-committers] Recent text/font changes

I updated to the latest CVS this morning and found I couldn't use 
truetype2 fonts in Linux.  I reverted back to Aug 29th CVS and things 
worked again, but found Aug 30th's broken.  I then removed the files 
from intrr's commit and it worked again:

Can someone verify whether or not this is just me, or else tell me what 
I'm missing?
