Well my point is that you can have a system in which there is still
PLENTY of memory available (both normal and swap) but where malloc
still fails simply because the amount allocated is very big and
exceeds the available place. Blender probably doesn't do such big
allocations though but still out of memory is not an exceptional
situation that should be equalled to the system being messed up.
