[Bf-committers] Weirdest renders ever -- bug?

Hi all --

I'm on OS X 10.4.3, compiling with gcc 4.0.  The latest CVS gives me  
the weirdest looking renders ever; I have checked out a fresh tree,  
and the problem has persisted.  I have built with both scons and  
make, and the problem keeps happening.

Does anyone know why this might be happening?  I'm inclined to say  
it's a bug, but I can't be sure.
