I also forgot to mention:
.) PNG + ZBuffer is prepared for, but not yet implemented in png.c.
It is supposed to store the depth data in the Alpha channel, using 16 bit
PNGs.

.) I used an anonymous checkout, so the changes for OpenEXR still reside
on my harddisc, nothing has been submitted as patch or committed yet.

.) Unclamped output: I also heard the renderer was prepared to deliver
unclamped and unbiased renderer output. Is that available & how can it be
activated ? I could need that for HDR video encoding as mentioned on
