Meeting Notes February 29th, 2005

1) Current Projects

- Transform refactor
Ton was busy with foundation administrative work so didn't get much
coding time in this past week. Ton will work on restoring
functionality that is the old transform code to the new transform
code, work with Theeth on a small refactoring, and hunting down a bug
in armature code. Theeth is working on fixing projection code in
perspective view, local constraints, and external calls.

2) 64 bit blender
Ton would like Blender to compile native for 64 bit oses. Four years
ago Blender was 64 bit clean, but newer functionality probably needs
some changes. Ton would appreciate someone who has a 64 bit OS, and 8
gigs of ram, and is an experienced coder 'on pointer magic' to take on
the task. The type of testing needed would be running the blender
regression suite, and a render that allocates more than four gigabytes
of memory such as a 100 million face scene, or ridiculous levels of
subsurfing.

3) Other projects

Desoto is working on a small project to make the wood texture more
realistic and working on making the old release logs markup consistent
with the blender sites content management system. Ideasman has been
working on improving the python documentation. Mal_CanDo's shockwave
exporter is progressing, but more slowly lately due to other
committments. Stivs is integrating a patch submitted for a Text3D
module.

Ideasman has been working on adding OOps properties for most
datatypes, and might follow this up with adding a python menu for
accessing OOps object relations.
