I'd be interested in your results with a dense mesh.  Also I recall
mention that the paint tools were designed such that they could be
used with bitmap brushes, but no interface was designed to load
brushes (also there is supposed to be support in the code for changing
the intensity of the inner radius, but again no interface was made
available for changing it).

Anyway, once you get your code ready for Tuhopuu, I'd be interested in
discussing this with you further.
