Hi,

I've put a patch in the tracker to fix the uv distortion with subsurf.
The results are not perfect near seams, but it should fix most of
the distortion.

I would like to get this patch committed in the orange branch, but
a review is needed first, since the changes are not in my code. I can
make some changes to the patch if needed..

I would assign this patch to Daniel, but couldn't find his name in the
"assinged to" list.
