[Bf-committers] Hidding .dot files

Hello!    A small suggestion:

Would it be possible to have the "Hide .dot files" option (the ghost
button) turned on by default on the releases to come?    I know it is
not a big issue for Windows users, but for Linux/Unix folks it is a big
deal.

I have A LOT of doted files and directories (moslty configuration
options for other programs) and it is annoying whenever you press F1
having to run to the ghost icon just to be able to find the file you are
actually looking for, since it is, by default, sunk in all the .dot
garbage.
