[Bf-committers] Proposal for 2.36 release

You know, when open source blender first came into being, the main idea was something along the lines of "Stable Tree=BF, Unstable/New Stuff=Tuhopuu". So all the weird funky stuff that was not stable, or not certainly stable, was in tuhopuu. Like the exporter, themeable gui, new contraints, other draw-modes (cartoon in 3dview), etc. But somehow it all got left behind, and we have BF trying to cope with being stable tree and the new feature zone.

How about the 2.3 to 2.4 split that will happen some day? How about doing that now? Keeping 2.3x as stable tree, no new features, and doing all the GUI redesigning, makefiles-refactoring, new transform, and all the other "obvious" changes into 2.4?

Um, sorry if I'm repeating others.

Dan
