Hi,

I have finally solved the Ftgl mess on my computer. The problem was 
with freetype-config.

A bit of documentation about this is needed i think. I will write it.
  Linux users are less likely to be stung by that as they have normally 
a valid freetype install on their computer.

So I will provide a build with game-player on saturday morning
