However I could be wrong here but doesn't selection in the OOPS window
behave the same both before and after the OOPS mods?

(I don't think the   set_active_base(base); does a thing....,
or am I missing something?)   (I'll wait on an answer to this to
take it out though) :)

For the parenting Though it doesn't affect anything else or so I was
pretty sure....  And just makes the OOPS behave like the other
windows so I committed it.
