Creates new directories.

Generally for unix commands (cvs, ls, grep, etc)
you can call it with -h or --help to get a list of options,
or you can use the "man" command to get a manual page
about it.

"man cvs" will give you the manual page about the cvs command,
which explains about -d, and about loads of other options. BTW,
you can do searches in the man-page by pressing "/" and then
typing something...
