I doubt you will see anything blender related on Slashdot for the times
to come.   Some versions ago it was customary that the slashdot wave
would almost bring the servers down, so when the next release came,
there was a note to slashdotter about not bringing down the server. (I
guess it was for 2.33 but can't be sure).. well, they were reading.  The
note was posted on slashdot, and never since that incident they have
commented about a new Blender release.
