[Bf-committers] Release: GO?

there is still the problem that Hos and I (confirm) on irix make:

msgfmt: found 3 fatal errors
gmake[1]: *** [it] Error 1
gmake: *** [all] Error 1

this doesn't prevent a 'make release' from succeeding. but the release
only contains the broken .it locale.... =20

suggestions please!
