Hi,

Anyone here feeling comfortable in removing the openssl dependency in  
Blender?
It also involves removing encryption and signing .blend files then.

My proposal is to remove that from Blender, and only keep the  
'compression' option for .blend files. I know (some) artists like the  
sign or encrypt feature, but that could be served with an external  
application as well.
