[Bf-committers] Installation and/or splash screen

Hello:

I've noticed that when I compile Blender (autoconf AND NaN_Makefiles) 
the splash screen shows up fine. If I move the executable blender to 
any other directory (esp. on another hard drive) the splash screen no 
longer appears, and I often lose the international font support.

Is there something hardcoded in the path that makes it relative to 
where Blender is initially compiled/installed that breaks when it is 
moved? This shouldn't happen IMO.
