[Bf-committers] 2.28 Ahoy 2!

   I've played around with 2.28 and I've found what I consider to be a problem
in the material system.  I hate to criticise, since I didn't actually do any of
the work to port it over, but I think this is important: the blinn in tuhopuu
had a "roughness" setting instead of a "hardness" setting.
   The roughness setting was floating point, and had a range of effectively
zero to pi.  You may have noticed that was THE SAME RANGE AS THE OREN_NAYAR
ROUGHNESS PARAMETER.  It was set up that way specifically because when they
were both at the same value they would represent a physically accurate
material.  Now they no longer coincide.

   I MUST INSIST THAT THE BLINN ROUGHNESS PARAMETER BE REVERTED TO THE WAY I
PREVIOUSLY HAD IT SET UP.
   If it is not done soon, then it will break compatability to change it later
once people have actually used 2.28 for projects.

   This is largely my fault.  I should have documented how and why the features
were set up as they were, and I apologize.
