[Bf-committers] 2.28 release!

Hi all,

We'll aim at getting the release out before siggraph, preferably around  
wednesday this week... so please test & test! cvs committing now also  
is restricted to reported bugs in new features, or showstopper bugs in  
general.

I'm preparing the full docs on the new features & changes & bug fixes.
