Chris, this is a valid comment! For issues not directly related to
Python, we should also use the regular mailing list.

There are some problems with the build systems at the moment. The auto*
build works, but that system is not yet used for building binaries. All
other systems need to be updated before the 2nd pre-release will be
made.

On the Python side, I think we're ready for the 2nd pre-release. All
outstanding bugs reported on the python forum on blender.org have been
resolved. Most of the documentation is finished - except the Object
module which I need to work on a little more. The documentation is not
critical - but very nice - for the 2nd pre-release.

I would suggest to start building binaries when all build systems are
working again. Let's aim for Sunday for the 2nd pre-release ok?
