Has there been much discussion about implementing perpetually running 
python tasks in blender? Like being able to deploy special modes 
that respond to windowing, mouse and keyboard events.. 
Then the ability to kill the script if not needed any longer?

I think a lot of the requests people have for modelling features 
could be implemented in the python interface.. And there has got to be a 
way to do this without using any matrix math..

Having python scripts that can respond to mouse/keyboard/window events 
will allow for resident modelling help, that can be coded by users.. 
And since they would be realtime entities, they could be applied to 
the game engine.. 

Anyhow, its just a thought..
