Are we discussing adding more primitives to this editor? I think the 
best example of one that's "missing" is a simple plane: allows for lots 
of neat effects. Also, the ability to have the meta data affected by a 
displacement map would be outstanding...

P.S. Meta primitives were used extensively for creating the "creature" 
in the 3rd place winner CGChallenge entry I did, so I very MUCH 
appreciate the effort being put into this oft-overlooked tool!
