I'm baffled by the 'build from scratch after every CVS commit to catch
compilation problems quickly' ... I thought Tinderbox would never be
able to do that :-P

It appears to be already in /usr/ports/devel/ccache and
/usr/ports/devel/distcc on FreeBSD. Maybe I should dig through my
portstree more often ;-)
