there is a lib directory tree that in the old system was used for
libs, and includes. the cvs01 repository populates this with darwin,
and windows files. is this for the old system or the new system?
at one time we were supposed to provide the platform libs, and includes
for the repository, but that's only half done. I can commit the needed
files for irix.
