Yes. Data in Verse is organized in "nodes", and each node can have a
textual name.

Okay. If you want to express fonts (or rather glyphs, I guess) as
geometry (i.e., not pixels) in Verse, you will need to use Verse's
primitives. Luckily, Verse only has a single primitive to learn.
Unfortunately, it is a variant of subdivision surfaces, so you cannot
directly transfer e.g. Beziér curves to/from Verse. Or maybe you can;
I vaguely remember some claim of equivalence between Verse's subdiv
surfaces and one of the more common curve types ... Sorry for being
vague, it's been several years and I was never totally into the
geometry side of things.
