We have reduced the new model down to 600-900 polygons which proves that
the reduction works fine. Most of the furnitures are gone as well as door
posts and window frames. We tested it against current version of UVAS,
and it is a bit too slow. Visually the model has enough details, at least
in the small rooms, although the large rooms are a bit empty.
It is just a little tough, because we have been testing the previous
"test scene" during this week, and in the last day we get a completely new
geometry into which we have to add listeners and sources, while not
knowing whether it contains any patological geometry which cannot be
handled by UVAS.
Also the materials are quite dull: a lot of concrete and a few wooden
surfaces. But isn't that a wonderful opportunity to demostrate our
system's ability to handle changing materials!
