That's not very good, of course. It sounds (from Eskil) as if we need
to disable Persuade from the release builds, then. :/

In the meantime, here:

is a binary which I *think* is compiled with debugging symbols
enabled. If you have a Win32 debugger, and could take a moment
to just start that binary in it, perhaps we can learn something
about what causes the crash ...
