[Soc-2010-dev] Status report

This week:

Finished a fair bit of code for direction field generation. Took time to
understand how this step and the next step (parametrization) work. Got a lot
of help from Vincent Nivoliers (PhD student). Hopefully, will finish the
direction field generation code by this Sunday.

Next week:

Finish the last minute stuff if any left, from the direction field code, and
proceed with parametrization. Maybe a few optimizations here and there.
