internal "fake" window, which, probably, should "freeze" the rest of the program until the user makes his choice. It's a bit weird and incoherent to me, for example, to be able to click on [save], and then change the save_as frame to a 3d view or to split it into 2 save_as panels...
And it works, yes, but it's not much user-friendly, say, to a Windows accustomed user.
For example the [P] button for Parent... well wouldn't the common arrow or folder+arrow be more intuitive? And the Open and Cancel buttons are joint relatively to the directory and filename fields, which doesn't make much sense to me.
I thought about OS specific windows, only because it is usually an efficient solution for programmers, but of course it can be done inside the program itself (and with some advantages).
I think it has to be improved if it doesn't want to look like an application made by a lazy programmer nor to scary new users.
Not that this is a priority,
anyway.
(I precise that I haven't compiled the subversion yet, maybe it is a bit different...).

Bye,
Ale

----- Original Message ----
From: Doug Ollivier <doug@mudpuddle.co.nz>
To: bf-funboard@blender.org
Sent: Friday, November 16, 2007 12:12:00 AM
Subject: Re: [Bf-funboard] O.S. I agree with the idea of having Full screen open on the File browser
window in all situations(if the file browser has been launched from an
interface button, not from the drop-down menu which allows you to
data-browse).

I also agree with the below. Importing supported filetypes is a really

own
use (basse perhaps?). I also would like to point to Adobe products
which have a little "switch to OS dialogue" and "switch to Adobe
dialogue" toggle so that users can choose.

Sorry if this is a little off-topic from the original

Doug Ollivier

Jason van Gumster wrote:
> For the record, I agree with all of these things (particularly having
> the console in Blender's view; that would be quite nice).
