Using left mouse select is really the only sane way when using a tablet, but of course currently it means that you can't paint or sculpt, which is ridiculous. I've already changed it in out build at the studio, but there are some corner cases I haven't gotten around to doing yet, but will be easy. The way I have it is that using left mouse select does just that and only that, it allows you to select with LMB. Sculpting painting etc are still on LMB as usual.
