Hi guys,

I found Blender myself looking for an open source CAD tool years 
ago. I think that having a Blender CAD branch could be an interesting 
option not only to please all CAD 
users around but also to attract funding to the 
Blender Foundation since it might be interesting for engineering studios.

Of course this only make sense if there are enough developers 
interested in such a project, otherwise is mere speculation.
