Well, 2 windowtypes don't make me all that happy. Allthough it would work well 
with the option to have a panel (I like to work in a single big 3d window, so 
such a panel would be nice for not having to switch back).
I already thought about just scaling the window. I thought the timeline part  
should have a horizontal scrollbar. That would mean losing some hight, even 
when only the management part is visible. But I forgot that none of the 
existing timeline-like windowtypes have scrollbars ...
Well, if it shall be by scaling, there should be a "snap-in" at the division.

About having a collapsable timeline part: What wouls show up if you collapse 
it when the window is full width (taking whole screen horizontaly)?
